There is no shortage of food truck related apps out there, some much better than others. The large amount of apps in the space proves one main point, there is no clear best food truck app. There are a few really good ones though. During One Spark, we had a chance to check out Food Truck Finder.
Food Truck Finder has two separate offerings: an app for customers and an app for food truck owners/operators. Both apps together serve as two different sides of the same coin: the Food Truck Owner app is the output source, while the Food Truck Finder receives the info as input. Both sides are incredibly simple to use. However, don’t mistake simplicity of use for simplicity of function, Food Truck Finder is as robust a food truck app as we have seen. Perhaps the only thing it is lacking is the ability to pay for food right on your phone.
Users searching for food trucks have the ability locate trucks in a list view by those closest to their current location, utilize our live map, search our massive database for specific trucks, or keep track of their favorites. The app gives users access to each trucks contact information, social media links, and closing times. Tapping on a truck’s name will pull up the user’s phone’s native GPS, giving the user guided directions directly to that truck’s serving location.1
