What does your startup do?
NiLi is a Nightlife Mobile Application, which provides users with profiles on the Hottest Venues and upcoming Events from city to city. NiLi is currently live in 8 cities, and offers Discounted Tickets & Bottle Service to the hottest venues in town.
NiLi even sends out weekly push notifications with Free ticket offers to select events!
NiLi is live in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, Las Vegas, Miami, NYC, Chicago, and New Orleans.
Who is your target user?
18-35+ males and females who enjoy nightlife on a budget.
Why did you build you product? What problem are you taking on?
I built NiLi because there isn’t 1 centralized place where people can digest the important nightlife info of a particular city. The industry is very fragmented, in that you have to view each venues individual website to find out about upcoming events, and tickets.
Also, there is no network that makes it easy for an individual to discover the local nightlife scene. Generally, you have to be connect with Promoters or someone who is on the inside of the cities nightlife scene, in order to know what’s going on.
NiLi eliminates that process, by delivering all that info in one easy to digest app!
I also wanted to create a way for people to easily discover the nightlife scenes of cities they were visiting and unfamiliar with.
How is your product different from what is currently available?
NiLi is unique in that it covers all Arenas of the Nightlife World. Right now, most nightlife platforms only include the standard Dance Club.
NiLi includes everything from Pool Parties and Dance Clubs, to LGBT Events and Burlesque Shows. We even have underground bars and live band performances as well.
NiLi also offers Entrance Tickets, Skip line Tickets and Bottle Service Reservations directly through the app. While most nightlife apps are focusing on bottle service, we want to cater to people who are interested in going out to a club on a budget and may not be able to afford Bottle Service every night.
Tell us your founding story. Was there an “ah ha” moment?
NiLi was started while I was a student at the University of Southern California, in one of my entrepreneurship classes. I had been so excited to move to LA, as I had heard so many great things about the nightlife scene. Upon arrival, I realized it was more difficult to find out where the best parties were happening as well as how to get in to them.
There were several occasions where my friends and I couldn’t get into a venue because we either showed up too late, didn’t have the right attire on, or simple weren’t able to get on the list.
This is where I decided to create NiLi, so I could aggregate all that important info for a whole nightlife scene, into one central location!
Tell us about your founding team and their backgrounds.
The Founding team includes myself, Dylan Osborn.
I am a USC 2014 Graduate with a degrees in Business Administration and Entrepreneurship.
In Highschool I was an All-American Lacrosse player, recruited to play D1 Lacrosse in College. After tearing my ACL, I decided to transfer schools and pursue my dream of entrepreneurship. This is when I started at USC and created NiLi.
