CES 2018 Eureka Park Preview: Benjilock is the Padlock We’ve Been Waiting For
Normally a Shark Tank casting call is one of the festivities that makes up Eureka Park the startup convention within the annual CES convention. Typically one morning during CES the entrepreneur founders of many of the Eureka Park startups camp out starting at 4 or 5 am for a Shark Tank casting call at the Venetian.
Robbie Cabral, the founder of BenjiLock won’t be one of those founders this year. It’s not because he’s lazy or thinks his product is too good for Shark Tank. It’s quite the opposite for Cabral. For him, it’s “been there, done that”.
Earlier this month Cabral and Benjilock appeared on the ABC hit tv show SharkTank. All of the sharks except Mark Cuban offered to invest in the lock that uses a persons fingerprint to unlock it.
The technology is quite genius it means that the user doesn’t need to remember a combination, install an app or keep track of a key. It’s a super secure way of locking up anything from a bicycle to a fence to an important file cabinet.
Cabral ultimately decided to go into business with Mr. Wonderful, Kevin O’Leary. O’Leary plans to help Cabral license the technology and really get the product out of the gate.
Before Shark Tank Cabral and Benjilock has received several awards and recognition.
