Eureka Park Preview: Trek, From Dyno Equipment, Allows You To Easily Capture Amazing, Beautiful Video With Your Smartphone Or Action Camera, At A Fraction Of The Cost Of Typical Sliders.
Have you ever seen stunning video of a mountain range, shot at a 90° incline? What about crisp video shot in the forest, looking up at the sun, going around in a precise circle? What about a time-lapse sun rise caught moving up a cliff? You would probably think that those videos took hours to shoot and thousands of dollars worth of equipment, right?
Well check out the video below. All of the amazingly beautiful, professional looking video was shot using an action camera or a smartphone and a slider called Trek from Dyno Equipment.
Trek is a portable slider system that will fit in your backpack or gear bag and is as easy to assemble as a Hot Wheels track. Straight and curved pieces slide into together with a magnetic reinforcement insuring that the track is tight. Trek’s magnetic quick connect system will have you going from fully packed to ready to shoot in just a few clicks. Trek’s track system features legs that fasten to it using the magnetic system, they keep the track both stable and level.
The robotic shuttle fastens securely to the track. It’s Bluetooth capable and can be operated remotely from up to 100 feet away using the fully customizable app for Android or iOS. The shuttle features amazingly long battery life, up to 20 hours. The shuttle is optimized to handle any smartphone or action camera, like a GoPro, up to 1lb. It’s also weather and dust resistant, making it perfect for any kind of outdoor video.
Trek’s companion app allows complete control of your shot. You can use default settings to take amazing videos or for even more precision you can set the speed between 1 and 36 inches per minute. It also allows you to take long exposures for epic nightlapses and the track system allows for steep inclines, up to 90°.
Today’s iPhone’s and Android phones are capable of taking 4K video, which means you can capture video today that would have cost you $40,000 in gear just five years ago. Dyno Equipment is creating accessories to give you a professional setup for taking breathtaking videos.
Chris Szczur and Scott Matthews, the founders of Dyno Equipment, both hold mechanical engineering degrees from the University of San Diego and came together over their love of the outdoors and photography. They’ve designed Trek to be so portable, that you can easily keep it in your backpack so you’re never without it when amazing moments strike.
