Fret Zealot Will Have You Shredding In No Time
You may remember Travis Perry the Alabama entrepreneur that wanted to help people learn to play the acoustic guitar with the Chord Buddy. He gained notoriety when he appeared on one of the earlier seasons of Shark Tank. Soon after you could find him in towns across America showing off his invention in Sam’s Club.
Learning to play the acoustic guitar can be fulfilling, and is definitely a great way to learn the basics. But you can only strum Kumbaya for so long.
DC area entrepreneurs and musicians Brandon Borko and Shaun Masavage know that people want to get to rocking as fast as they humanly can. That’s why they invented Fret Zealot, an easy to use, easy to install LED system that will have you shredding on the electric guitar in minutes. Some say it makes learning to actually play the electric guitar just about as easy as Guitar Hero.
We first met Borko at SXSW 2018 at the DC House. They were demoing Fret Zealot to people who had never picked up an electric guitar and the results were amazing.
Andres Segovia says that “The guitar is the easiest instrument to play, and the hardest to play well”. Borko and Masavage set out to making it easy to play and easy to play well.
With Fret Zealot aspiring guitar players will learn how to:
- Play notes A,B,C,D,E,F,G plus all the flats and sharps in between
- Play chords
- Play scales
- Play your favorite songs
- Play all kinds of styles of music
- Play cool effects
If shredding is what you want to do, Fret Zealot can help you make it happen. With the upcoming Fret Zealot companion app for Android and iOS users will be able to control their Fret Zealot experience and learn to easily lay their favorite songs.
The company raised $248,826 on Kickstarter and another $352,643 on Indiegogo. They plan on shipping soon.
You can check out Fret Zealot and learn to play guitar when you visit their booth in Eureka Park at CES 2018, January 9-12th in Las Vegas, booth #52625 and online at fretzealot.com
