Oomo is the world’s first pair of 3D virtual surround sound earbuds. They are some of the best sounding earbuds in the world. But they almost got completely shelved. This year at CES 2018 in Eureka Park we will get to experience 3D virtual surround sound, movie theater quality surround sound out of a pair of beautifully designed, sleekly engineered earbuds, but if it wasn’t for the Showtime hit TV series Homeland these amazing earbuds may never have made it to market.
Let me explain.
The story starts in 1991 that’s when Oomo founder Aaryan Ramzan lost his 49 year old mother to tragic car accident. 17 years later the entrepreneur lost a close friend, ventured out to the middle east. It was in the middle east where Ramzan endured a series of life changing events that would rival a biopic tale of literal terror and heartbreak. With the inspiration of his late mother and a friend he lost in 2008 Ramzan set out to come back to Los Angeles and do something with his life.
Ramzan teamed up with Dr. James Lee of Taiwan who had developed a very impressive set of earphones with the best dynamic range many have ever seen, or heard. These earbuds feature a triple cavity acoustic structure and a five channel sound division which deliver a 3D immersive sound experience. It’s Ramzan’s mission to bring these amazing earbuds to the world. He added a selection of silicon and memory foam eartips and a zipper carry case to protect them, and he christened them the Oomo earbuds for truly “feel good sound”.
Ramzan knew he had the most incredible earphones in the world, but no one knew about them and he was again feeling discouraged. That was until he met with his friend Jennifer Yeuroukissince, a choreographer, dance and pilates instructor in the LA area. She teaches artists, producers, actors and executives from some of the major studios in LA. To help Ramzan, she took a pair of Oomo earphones and showed them to some of her friends. Shortly after the entire multi-award winning audio team for the Showtime hit show Homeland endorsed Oomo.
Nello Torri a multi Emmy award winning audio engineer for Homeland said that he “Loved the surround feature, made me feel like a participant, rather than an observer”. Torri went on to say that Oomo was his new favorite pair of earbuds.
Oomo’s 3d immersive sound technology make them the perfect set of earbuds for musicians, music lovers, gamers and even multimedia producers.
