A California startup called OrbiPrime has married two devices that no other company has quite mastered and spawned the easiest to use 360° video recording system ever made. OrbiPrime has simplified 360° immersive, VR ready video, into a device as easy to operate as a GoPro, in fact, we might even say easier.

OrbiPrime is is the first 360° video recording eyewear. The company has taken a pair of “smart” glasses and turned them into something people will actually use. Companies as large as Google, with Google Glass, and SnapChat, with Spectacles, have failed to create mass appeal with their novelty eyewear. By offering users the opportunity to capture 3D video for outdoor sports, fishing, creating VR video games, house walk throughs, you name it, OrbiPrime has created purpose with their glasses, beyond just looking cool, or hipster.

OrbiPrime allows the user (wearer) to keep complete use of their hands and still get the perfect shot. Users can capture breathtaking 360° video and images from places that you could never take a 360° camera in the past.

Users can capture breathtaking and rich videos in 4K resolution while kayaking, skiing, rock climbing, mountain climbing, bike riding, or even on a stroll through on the beach or through the desert.

  • A lightweight but heavy duty polycarbonate frame
  • 2x Full HD rear cameras
  • 2x Full HD front cameras
  • Polarized adaptive lenses
  • Inertial measurement unit
  • SDXC
  • Wireless transceiver
  • 2x low power video processing units
  • 1230 mah battery (good for 60 minutes of recording time)

OrbiPrime doesn’t stop at the hardware though. They’ve created a companion app with industry leading video stitching and mobile editing capabilities. Your videos can be stitched together automatically, on the go. With the Orbi app you can instantly share your 360° videos with friends, family and even on social media.

OrbiPrime isn’t a novelty. Fans of the outdoors and extreme sports will use OrbiPrime over and over again to show off their latest adventures.

The company is officially debuting OrbiPrime at CES 2018 in Las Vegas, January 9-12th in Eureka Park, booth #50913 and online at orbiprime.com
