eThink Education Announces Partnership With Totara
eThnk Education is one of Moodle’s top certified partners. The Baltimore based company helps educational institutions K-20 implement the open source Moodle learning management system (LMS).
Moodle is one of the largest learning management systems in the world, it’s also open source which gives schools, colleges and universities expandability and customization to insure that the LMS fits the school’s specific needs. Because it’s open source, Moodle has a wide range of developers that have built plugins, modules and blocks that can handle any task an institution is looking for.
Totara is the open source, brother of Moodle, except it caters specifically to the needs of corporate learning, e-learning and workforce training. It to is open source designed to meet the individual needs of every business, small, medium or large and any implementation from employee onboarding, corporate training modules to company universities and beyond.
Totara is built on the Moodle platform and if you’re curious about the name, eThink explains: “The Totara tree is native to New Zealand and has long been known for its diverse qualities and uses. The Totara tree possesses flexibility, strength, and durability – properties which the product itself emulates.” values which Moodle and Totara are built on.
eThink is a five star Moodle partner and has yet to lose a customer to another Moodle provider, but if for any reason a customer turns to eThink for implementation and then decides to go elsewhere, they can, no questions asked. “eThink’s support services are the best in the industry, and we stand by that commitment by making sure all our customers are aware that if they are not completely happy with our services, they can take their entire site to another Moodle or Totara vendor – an option you never get with a closed source provider.” eThink said in this blog post.
We view the addition of Totara to our product base as another important step in ensuring we offer a best-of-breed solution to any customer that comes to us seeking eLearning services. Totara will help us meet the needs of those in the nonprofit, government, and corporate sectors – all markets in which LMS usage is growing exponentially,” said Cheryl Patsavos, Co-Founder and COO of eThink Education.
“We at Totara are very excited to have eThink join the partner network. We are looking forward to helping continue their success and growth into new sectors and markets. eThink’s growth is testament of their dedication to their clients and Totara is excited to support these efforts,” said Daniel Vecchi, VP of Channel Operations (Americas) at Totara Learning.
eThink will be showing off their Totara services in the Totara Village at DevLearn in Las Vegas October 25-27th booth #604 and you can learn more here at ethinkeducation.com
