The FUND Conference, the semi-annual conference connecting 100 pre-selected startups to the investor community, is headed to Austin Texas on April 26th. The one day event features top regional and national speakers for a day of important talks, fireside chats, panels, keynotes and startups.
The Austin event is a who’s who of the statewide Texas entrepreneurial ecosystem. Speakers from across the state include Joshua Baer, founder and Executive Director, Capital Factory; Hugh Forrest, Chief Programming Officer, SXSW; Michael Girdley, founder of San Antonio’s GeekDom; Bob Metcalfe, the inventor of ethernet, and Professor of Innovation at UT, Sara Brand, Founding General Partner, True Wealth Ventures; and many more.
The FUND Conference connects startups and entrepreneurs to hundreds of investors from across the country and a wide variety of big corporations, potential enterprise partners and companies looking to invest in startups. The entrepreneur expo features the best of the best in screened startups. Past participants include: LISNR, Spot Hero, Saambaa and many more.
The two day event kicks off April 25th with opening remarks from Grace Rodriguez, the co-founder of Station Houston startup space. Lunch features a paired networking session where entrepreneurs and investors will have 1:1 time. The rest of the day includes panels and talks on a variety of topics that matter to startups at any stage.
Thursday features the FUND Austin startup pitch where investor favorites and the overall winners will be announced.
The FUND Conference is a focused event that puts a lot of clutter found at other conferences aside. The goal is to connect startups and entrepreneurs to investors and deliver content that can truly make a difference to an up and coming startup.
