Little Rock Startup Apptegy To Use $5.7 Million Dollar Investment To Triple The Sales Of Thrillshare
A Little Rock startup is quickly becoming the single platform for all of the digital communication needs in schools. Aptegy is the startup behind Thrillshare, an easy to use platform that allows a school district’s teachers and stuff to distribute information in every way possible. With Thrillshare the creator can create content just once and have it distributed across a website cms, Facebook, Twitter, push notifications, voice calls, and other communications systems.
Apptegy is able to “white label” their Thrillshare product for each and every school district that deploys it. Currently Thrillshare is being used by 260 public school districts across 38 states and about 1200 schools. In their home state of Arksansas, 50 school districts use the software.
With that kind of growth the startup, led by founder and CEO Jeston George, caught the eye of Kansas City based Five Elms Capital who invested $5.7 million dollars into the company.
“We are beyond excited to partner with Five Elms. Their experience working with growing SaaS companies will be a huge asset to our board,” George said in a statement. “We get to see every day how Thrillshare impacts our customers as they embrace the opportunities that digital interactions create. Five Elms brings not only financial and strategic support, but decades of operating experience to guide us as we scale.”
Five Elms’ decision to invest was based on both the rapid adoption of Thrillshare by schools in two short years and the glowing reviews from Apptegy’s customers. “Apptegy has changed the way school districts communicate with their constituents, providing key district information and highlighting student achievement without the hassles of working with multiple technology vendors,” said Ryan Mandl, Partner at Five Elms Capital. “The team’s innovative product, industry knowledge, and best-in-class customer service, has driven rapid, profitable growth and an evangelical customer base; we look forward to working with the Apptegy team to expand on the success achieved to date.”
