Ohio Startup UpDox Closes $12.7M Round
Dublin Ohio based startup Updox has reportedly closed a $12.7M series B round. They’ve been able to do it while scaling and growing and still retaining a significant amount of equity. The company provides care coordination and healthcare connectivity solutions.
Currently their healthcare coordination solution is integrated with 70 electronic health records providers (EHR). They serve more than 200,000 users and 60 million patients. Through an extensive Direct messaging network and platform of apps, Updox connects various healthcare providers, including physicians, patients, payers, pharmacies, labs and healthcare partners. Once part of the network, users or partners can access a full suite of applications including secure messaging, patient portal, appointment scheduling & reminders, credit card payments, and health alerts.
Ohio based Rev 1 Ventures participated in the series B round. They were a previous investor in Updox.

The investment in Updox sends a signal to other Ohio area startups that there are local resources to support growing companies.

TT Capital Partners led the round with additional participation from Tamarind Hill. Updox intends to use the investment to expand it’s reach, hire new people and to further product development.
