Tom Wheeler was on the stage today at TechCrunch Disrupt New York. The discussion was pretty light, covering the normal positions on net neutrality, trying to dive into the FCC Chairman’s past as a venture capitalist (to no avail), and even politics?
Wheeler was asked if he thought we were in another tech bubble but because his customers are now the American People, he seemed to hedge on the question saying that those spurs have been put up, perhaps for now.
After that the commissioner was asked if he could possibly turn to the VC world again after this term which ends in two years. Wheeler said that he wasn’t a “spring chicken” the 69 year old telecommunications expert said he may just want to spend some time playing with his grandkids.
Of course in an election year he was asked if he would serve another term as the FCC commissioner, his reply is in the video below. Of course Wheeler was appointed by Barrack Obama so we can safely make the assumption that the “she” is not Carly Fiorina.
