What is 50DMC?

50DMC Allows musicians to source more ideas and to reduce the gap between their available funds and the budget needed to make more music videos, provides a platform for filmmakers that not only allows them to promote themselves directly to their customer segment but also generates music video leads, while letting fans to meaningfully contribute ideas or even funds.

We reduce the funds gap by connecting musicians with not only local filmmakers but also ones from lower economic countries which results in lower production costs and by engaging their fans in ways that encourage them to also chip in financially. Filmmakers can access a much wider net of musicians that are actively seeking to commission music videos without the need of running expensive adverts and core fans of an artist can potentially influence the outcome of their next music video or even get their names in the credits for a small donation.

Who is your target user?

musicians, filmmakers, music video lovers

Why did you build 50DMC? What problem are you taking on?

Expanding their exposure is an essential task for all independent musicians and music videos are a great way to do so however producing these requires unique ideas and extra funds they often don’t have. Filmmakers generally love making music videos however they eventually abandon the segment because of the lack of funds while fans are less engaged and left out of the creative process.

It has been proven that without proper exposure and fast growth musicians will never make it to reach their dream. “musicians who gain 20,000 to 50,000 Facebook fans in one month are four times more likely to eventually reach 1 million” (link) Filmmakers are also more likely to break into a role in the movie business or become a sought after commercial director the longer they produce creative music videos while for the fans, the majority of us likes to entertain with a cool music video more than any other video content online when we get a free moment in our busy lives.

How is 50DMC different from what is currently available?

We allow musicians and filmmakers to produce music videos that fans love.

Tell us about your founding team and their backgrounds.

I’ve saved time and money for The Fletcher Buildings: “Gabor’s creative innovation and product application to the trade through the software products freed up substantial amount of time for us…” I’ve also produced hundreds of music and commercial videos too: “an extremely talented producer and I’ve had the opportunity to work with him on a number of projects…” I used to do music videos quite a lot in 2009/10 but there was only a small budget for most of the clips. You spend more on advertising and always end up with clients who don’t really have money. It’s a big problem, especially considering how fun it can be to make the clips, and the benefit to the artists in terms of promoting themselves.
