Boom, the legendary sound enhancement app from Global Delight that millions of Mac OSX users have used to turn up the volume and make the sound better, is finally available for iOS.
If you’ve been a MacHead for long you’re undoubtedly using Boom on your MacBook, iMac or MacPro. Although sound and music has always been important to the folks at Infinite Loop the default system settings never delivered optimum bass, volume or the depth you would expect using factory settings and without external hardware. It seems for me that sound has always been missing with Apple products, although I’ve been a “Mac” guy since the late 80’s.
Enter Boom! In 2011 and life was complete, at least on the laptop and desktop side.
The iPhone and iPad always lacked. You can crank the volume all the way up and still come up short using internal speakers, headphones or a Bluetooth devise.
Well the wait is over. This morning in Brooklyn New York, Global Delight unveiled Boom for iOS and it’s available in the App Store today.
It’s free to download and use for free and after a 5 day trial you’ll have to fork over $3.00 which is fine by me.
What are you waiting for, go Boom! Now in the iTunes App Store.
