Philly Startup HuddleCamHD Is Simplifying Video Conferencing
New technology is changing the video conferencing landscape day in and day out. While the big electronics manufacturers have to grasp onto the technology they think will last and then spend tens of millions to take it to market, smaller, state side companies are able to innovate at the speed of innovation. Such is the case with Philadelphia startup HuddleCamHD.
HuddleCamHD has created a full line of video conferencing products utilizing the latest in technology. They offer camera systems with a compere range from 3X to 30X and also have audio solutions that provide maximum listenability in conference call settings.
It all began in 2015 “…when HuddleCamHD chief engineer Matthew Davis created the world’s first wireless USB pan, tilt, zoom conference camera, the HuddleCam Air. In 2016, Davis used the same wireless USB technology to build the incredibly popular HuddlePod Air, one of the industries top selling wireless USB speakerphones. Now in 2017, HuddleCamHD is making our powerful wireless technology available in the first ever wireless USB 2.0 extension system truly built to work with any USB 2.0 device. The USB2Air is the industry’s first answer to wireless USB video transmission as a suitable substitute for extension cabling. The USB2Air is a Windows only product with support for 1080p HD video transmission up to 25 feet between each transmitter and receiver set.” HuddleCamHD’s Paul Richards told nibletz.com in an interview.
The technology they’ve built for the video conferencing industry is starting to get picked up by the virtual reality industry. The company’s latest wireless USB extension supports 1080p video for virtual reality use. That’s because HuddleCamHD’s USB transmission system is the only one available today that works for streaming video conferencing with webcams.
In addition to video conferencing and virtual reality, HuddleCamHD is making an impact in the EdTech space where their wireless video solutions are great for the ever-changing classroom setting.
The company’s latest innovation the USB2Air offers a wide variety of solutions to provide real time connectivity for a variety of uses. They recently showed off how the USB2Air system can make the Phoenix Audio Speaker wireless.
“In fact, we are showing multiple devices connected the USB2Air to demonstrate how easily you can use the USB2Air with a USB 2.0 Hub.” Richards said.
