Startup investor, ABC Shark Tank Shark and Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban is headed to Chicago next week and it’s not because his team is playing the Bulls in the playoffs. With the 2014-2015 NBA season officially over for the Mavs, Cuban is free to speak at Iconic. Cuban is actually a much more active owner than many others and tries to attend most of his teams regular season games and just about all of their post season games.
Cuban brings a lot to the already Iconic lineup at the Chicago conference, one of three that Inc Magazine is putting on in conjunction with CNBC.
The Iconic Tour is a three event conference series with stops in Chicago, Los Angeles and Washington DC. Each event includes an educational day and an Iconic Conference. Anyone who watches, (or listens) to CNBC has heard all about this amazing series.
Other speakers include Under Armour founder Kevin Plank, Warby Parker’s Neil Blumenthal and Jennifer Fleiss of Rent The Runaway, just to name a few. You can catch the whole line up here.
Cuban demands a big speaking fee, of which he typically donates the money to charity, but he spends so much time working on his own businesses, investments and startups that he doesn’t have a lot of time to parade around the country speaking at conferences. Cuban seems to pick and choose bigger events but spreads them out too so more people can see him rather than just doing the same event year after year.
